The special board meeting has be moved to the Apollo Auditorium, Friday 9/23/05 at 6:30.
Dr. Margaret Keller-Cogan, Superintendent of Schools in this state's eighth-largest school district, has vowed to follow through on her commitment to serving the children of Greece, NY. She has issued the following statement:
"Today is the 45th day in my tenure as Superintendent of Schools in the Greece Central School District. In that time, I have been meeting with every employee group, celebrating the enormous student gains that have been made recently, and honoring the employees who made it all possible.
"I have consistently spoken of my desire to continue to work with our staff to provide the best possible educational opportunities for the students in Greece. I am committed to continuing the momentum that has been demonstrated by our recent preliminary achievement results.
"I sought the opportunity to be Superintendent in Greece because of my love for the staff and students in our system. I am completely committed to giving both students and staff my very best, and it is my intention to remain here to ensure that my commitments are realized."

Subject: Special Emergency Meeting
Hello,
As many of you may already know...as many of us have been on the phones,
the Board of Education has called a special 1/2 hr. meeting Friday night at
6:30pm up on the 3rd floor. If at all possible please try to attend, as we were
told that "the investigation will have far reaching implications including the
administrators." Basically the information is leading us to believe that there
will be an announcement possibly requesting for Dr. Keller-Cogan's resignation.
We at PTA Council are outraged and want the facts. We will be attending the
meeting and encourage everyone that is able to get to Apollo to try to be there
in support of our superintendent, our building principals and ultimately our
children.
As soon as we have the facts we will share more.
Please email this out to everyone requesting their attendance, PLEASE and
THANKS!
Chris and Scott
