Because of parent
interest, a special joint PTSA meeting has been called for
Wednesday night, January 18, at 7:00 pm, in the Apollo
Cafeteria. Interested families from Odyssey, Apollo, and Olympia
are invited to attend. At that time principals and other staff
will be on hand to answer as many questions as possible about the
school consolidation proposals from the January 10, Board of
Education meeting.

Greece
PTA Council serves all the local unit PTAs in the Greece Central
School District.
Greece Council provides training, information and services to our 19
local PTAs through a variety of communication styles including
workshops, written updates and meetings.
Greece PTA Council meets monthly from August through June.
As part of New York State Region 7 Greece PTA Council is affiliated
with both the New
York State and National
PTAs.

PTA Mission
- to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the
schools and before governmental agencies and other organizations
that make decisions affecting children;
- to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise
and protect their children; and
- to encourage parent and public involvement in the public
schools of this state.
The Purposes of the
Parent Teacher Association
- To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home,
school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of
children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that
parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the
education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such
united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the
highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual
education.
